2020-21 (Fr.): Earned first letter at Ball State … played in 10 of Ball State’s 21 matches, seeing action in 14 of a possible 80 sets, mainly as a serving specialist … credited with a career-high three digs versus Central Michigan (March 20) … also finished the match with a career-best six receptions and a 1.000 (6-for-6) reception percentage … recorded an assist and two digs versus Bowling Green (Feb. 12) … also tallied two digs in her collegiate debut versus Akron (Jan. 22) … earned at least one digs in five of the 10 matches she played.
MILLER PHILLIPS ON CONWAY: Zoe has a great touch on the ball and is confident handling the ball in pressure situations. She's not afraid to throw her body around and do whatever it takes to keep the ball off the floor. She serves a tough floater that causes opponents havoc. She is always communicating and bringing energy to her teammates and pushing others around her to be their best. I love her enthusiasm and positive attitude and am excited to add her to our team!
HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterwinner in volleyball for coach Sarah Roush at New Castle, Conway helped lead the Trojans to three consecutive IHSAA State Volleyball Championships with two coming in 3A (2017 & 2018) and the most recent in 4A (2019) … her teams went a combined 131-21 over her career, including a 35-1 record her senior season which saw Conway collect 231 digs, hand out 57 assists and serve up 54 aces … she was named first team all-state and Courier Times First Team All-County as a junior … overall Conway helped guide New Castle to two conference championships, three sectional championships, three regional championships, three semi-state championships and three state championships … she finished her career with 1110 digs, 187 aces and 147 assists over 434 sets played.
CLUB: Conway has played nine seasons for the Munciana Volleyball Club with top ten finishes every year at the national tournament, including runner-up finishes in 2013 and 2018.
WHY BALL STATE: I chose Ball State because it had everything I was looking for in a school. The team and coaches made me feel like I was at home right away. It is close to my family and gives me the opportunity to pursue a degree while being surrounded by people who genuinely care about me. The coaching staff was so welcoming, it made my decision very easy!
