Fresh off a four-year playing career for the Ball State women's volleyball program, Cathryn Starck enters her first season as the program's director of operations in 2022.
As a student-athlete from 2018-21, she helped guide the Cardinals to a pair of NCAA Volleyball Championship appearances (2019 & 2021), two MAC Tournament titles (2019 & 2021), and the 2021 MAC regular season title. She played in 90 of a possible 119 matches over her career, seeing action in 271 of a possible 455 sets. She collected double-digit digs in 12 career matches, including tying her season high with 12 in BSU's 2021 NCAA Tournament first round victory over Michigan. She also earned a perfect reception percentage in 50 career matches.
Overall, she finished her career with 500 digs, 49 service aces and 59 assists.
