2021-22: Named to the Academic All-MAC Team…finished 18th overall at the MAC Championship meet in the 200 IM (2:04.98)…also placed 23rd overall in the 400 IM (4:36.55) and 24th overall in the 200 backstroke (2:10.01)…captured the win in the 400 IM (4:34.17) versus Ohio…finished second in the 200 IM (2:09.81) versus Toledo…won the 200 IM (2:09.27) versus Buffalo.
2020-21: Qualified for B Finals at the MAC Championships in the 200 IM (2:03.53) placing 14th overall…also swam in the B Final for the 400 IM (4:33.25) finishing 16th overall…placed 20th overall at the MAC Championships in the 200 backstroke (2:05.56)…finished first in the 400 IM (4:42.43) versus Bowling Green.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended William Fremd High School and swam under coach Andrew Kittrell … earned four varsity letters and was team captain as a senior … named team MVP her junior and senior season … second team all-state as a junior … four-time state qualifier and three-time sectional champion … placed first in 200 IM (2:03.63) at High School Sectional Meet and 7th in the same event at state (2:04.37) … also participated in water polo for the Vikings … earned four varsity letters and team captain for two years … won the American Water Polo Scholar Athlete Award.
CLUB: Swam for Palatine Park District for 10 years for coach Anthony Gallagher … Winter Junior National qualifier … qualified for state in maximum number of events since age 13 … holds four team record in 15+ age group.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Patricia and William Kuehn … father played football for Dartmouth College … uncle swam for the University of Michigan … aunt played water polo for Northwestern University … mother was a cheerleader at University of Michigan … Kuehn is undecided but wants to minor in ASL.
WHY BALL STATE: I chose Ball State because it feels like home. The team is so inviting and it is a community I look forward to being around. I am beyond excited to be a Cardinal.
