Saleem on Phillis: Our fans will love watching this powerful young woman on the competition floor this year. She will make an immediate impact in our bar lineup with her high-level releases and dynamic swinging, and I expect to see her competing on the vault and floor. Our team is gaining more than Elite-level experience as she is a fabulous young woman who understands determination and hard work. She fits perfectly into the culture of our Cardinal family. Career Highlights: 2023 Elite Canada Vault Champion helped guide Team Canada to gold at the 2024 Luxembourg Open by placing 10th among the field with an all-around score of 44.500 ... her effort included a seventh-place result of 11.734 on vault ... 2023 Canada Winter Games medalist and a 10-time British Columbia Provincial Champion.

Why Ball State: I chose Ball State because of the family environment. As soon as I stepped on campus, I felt like I had a home away from home with the gymnastics team. The campus is absolutely gorgeous, and I fell in love.
