Katie Andrews Malott, a former gymnast at the University of Denver (2003-07) is in her second season as a graduate assistant coach for the Ball State University gymnastics program.
Before arriving at Ball State, Malott earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with minors in communication and sociology from Denver in June 2007. Malott was a four-year letterwinner for Denver and tallied career highs of 9.825 on the vault, 9.875 on the bars, 9.725 on the beam and 9.85 on the floor. She helped the Denver team to the 2007 NCAA National Championships, the school’s first trip since 2001.
A native of Crawfordsville, Ind., the former Katie Andrews married her husband, Kelly, June 23, 2007.
