Kelsey Sear, a 2017 Ball State graduate and four-year letterwinner for the women's golf program, returns for her first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Cardinals in 2017-18.
Sear was one of Ball State’s top golfers throughout her career, finishing with a four-year scoring average of 78.53 that ranks third-best in program history. She logged nine top-10 finishes in her career, including victories at the 2014 Marian University Spring Classic and 2016 Bulldog Florida Invitational.

Sear was Ball State’s team MVP as a senior in 2016-17. She was the Cardinals’ top finisher in six of 12 events that year and recorded a counting score in an astounding 35 of 36 team rounds. Sear helped the Cardinals to team victories at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate and EKU Colonel Classic in a span of six days. Her 77.14 stroke average for the year ranks fifth in the BSU record book.
Sear continued her impressive play in the summer after her senior season, winning the 2017Â Investors Group Ontario Women's Amateur Championship.

A product of Unionville, Ontario, Sear was a three-time Academic All-MAC selection. She earned her bachelor’s degree in finance and is now pursuing a master’s degree.
