In her first three seasons as an assistant coach, Casey has been a key factor in elevating the Ball State women's basketball program to new heights. Her dedication to her position group has translated into historic success, including the program's first-ever back-to-back Mid-American Conference (MAC) regular season titles in 2025 and 2026.
Key Coaching Achievements
Before Morrissette's arrival at Ball State, she spent two years as an assistant at Indiana Tech. As a member of the Warriors staff, Morrissette helped with the development of practice plans and the recruitment of prospective student-athletes. She was also in charge of numerous community outreach programs the team participated in.
A native of Wakeman, Ohio, Morrissette played four years of collegiate basketball for the University of Mount Union. She earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference honorable mention honors after starting every game for the Raiders her senior season. She averaged 10.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in her final year.
Morrissette obtained her bachelor's degree in exercise science with a minor in coaching from Mount Union in 2019.
Key Coaching Achievements
- Championship Success: Morrissette was instrumental in securing the team's second MAC Tournament title in 2025, which led to an appearance in the NCAA Tournament First Round against Ole Miss.
- Record-Breaking Debut: During her first season as assistant coach (2023-24), she helped lead the Cardinals to a program-record 28 victories and an invitation to the inaugural WBIT.
- Consistent Excellence: Under her guidance, the team achieved a tie for the most wins in a season (26) during her time as director of recruiting and operations before her promotion to assistant coach in July 2023.
