Ball State women's basketball 13th-year head coach Brady Sallee announced the signing of Indiana native Brooke Winchester (Warsaw, Ind./Warsaw Community High School) to a national letter of intent during the early signing period, which opened today.
"We are thrilled to finally make Brooke an official part of our Ball State WBB program," Sallee said. "We love her ability to play inside and out, we love how hard she has worked to earn this opportunity, and we love how much she wanted to be at Ball State."
Winchester will join the Cardinals for the 2025-26 season. As a junior, Winchester scored in double figures in every game for the Tigers scoring a season high 22 points versus Northridge while also pulling down 19 rebounds against the Raiders. Winchester averaged 15.4 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. She also recorded 10 double-doubles. At the end of her junior season, Winchester was selected as the Time-Union Girls Player of the Year.
This past summer, Winchester was a member of the 2024 IndyStar Girls Junior All-Star team. She recently earned the highest preseason honor for Outside the Huddle as she was tabbed as one of the "Fabulous Five" which recognizes the area's best five players in both boys' and girls' basketball.
