Helped the Cardinals punch their ticket to the 2016 Mid-American Conference Tournament after posting a 6-3 victory over Buffalo’s Sergio Arevallilo and Ethan Nittolo alongside teammate Tom Carney (Apr. 15).
2014-15 (SOPHOMORE): Named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team while also earning individual honors . . . Competed in 11 singles matches . . . Earned a 6-2 victory alongside teammate Lucas Andersen against No. 16 Notre Dame’s Wyatt McCoy and Kenneth Sabacinski (2/8/15) . . . Captured doubles wins over Wright State, Taylor, Lipscomb, Northern Illinois, IU Southeast and Eastern Illinois.
2013-14 (FRESHMAN): Named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team while also earning individual ITA Academic honors . . . Defeated Julian Chavez of Chicago State in a third set tie breaker for first collegiate win (10/4) . . . Earned wins over Texas Tech (10/25), Indiana Tech (2/8) and Anderson University (3/1) . . . At No. 3 doubles, Helm and Lucas Andersen defeated the Toledo's Roberto Meza and Ryan Jorgensen, 8-5 which claimed the doubles point for Ball State in the MAC Tournament semifinals (4/26) . . . Contributed to Ball State's win over Buffal in the MAC Tournament title match at Cardinal Creek Tennis Center (4/27), which is the 38th MAC regular season or tournament championship in the 42-year tenure of Bill Richards advancing the Cardinals to their eighth trip to the NCAA Tournament.
