2021-22: Named to the Academic All-MAC Team…finished second in the 200 butterfly (1:56.85) versus Valparaiso…swam the season’s fastest times in the 200 freestyle (1:52.81) at Indiana Intercollegiate, the 500 freestyle (4:50.32) at the IUPUI House of Champions, and the 100 butterfly (52.11) at the MAC Championships.
2020-21: Qualified for the B Final at the MAC Championship for the 200 butterfly (1:51.76) and finished 11th overall…placed 17th overall at the MAC Championship in the 100 butterfly (51.09) …Placed 24th overall at the MAC Championship in the 500 freestyle (4:46.92)…swam the season’s fastest times in the 500 freestyle (4:53.73) at the Butler Invite
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four letters under coach Brandon Loveless at East Central … Team MVP his senior season for the Trojans and Conference MVP all four seasons … Ketcham competed at the IHSAA Sectional meet all four years and the Senior State Meet his sophomore and junior season … placed 11th in the 200 fly at the Senior State Meet (1:53.64) as a junior … two-time individual sectional champion in the 200 free … Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference record holder in 200 medley relay, 200 free (1:47.31), 400 free relay.
CLUB: Swam for East Central Swim Club for 14 years.
PERSONAL: Son of Susan and Eric Ketcham … brother, Alex (20), swims at Rose Hulman Institute of Technology … father played basketball at Weber State…studying nursing at Ball State.
WHY BALL STATE: I chose Ball State because that’s where all of the stars aligned for me. I wanted to swim and go to school at a Division 1 college. I wanted a school with a top nursing program. I wanted to go to a school where I felt like I was able to truly be me. All of the signs pointed towards Ball State.
