2021-22: swam the season’s fastest times in the 50 freestyle (22.18), the 100 backstroke (54.33), the 100 butterfly (52.01), and the 200 butterfly (1:58.54) at the Ohio State Winter Invite, and in the 100 freestyle (50.17) at the IUPUI House of Champions.
2020-21: Qualified for the B Final at the MAC Championship in the 50 backstroke (26.41) placing 18th overall…Placed 20th overall at the MAC Championship in the 200 backstroke (2:02.98)…Swam season’s fastest times at the MAC Championship meet in the 100 backstroke (53.28), in the 100 butterfly (51.68), in the 200 butterfly (2:00.10), at the Butler Invite in the 200 backstroke (2:02.98).
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four letters under coach John Gibson at Carrol … Team captain his senior season for the Chargers … Lower competed at the IHSAA Sectional meet all four years … placed 4th in the 100 fly at the IHSAA Sectional meet junior (52.55) and senior (52.18) year… placed 2nd in 100 back at the IHSAA Sectional meet ( 54.52) as a senior … placed 16th in the 100 fly at the Senior State Meet (51.92) … helped his team to sectional titles junior and senior year.
CLUB: Swam for Fort Wayne Swim Team for 7 years … placed 1st in Senior State Meet
PERSONAL: Studying Exercise Science with minors in coaching and aquatics.
WHY BALL STATE: I chose Ball State because it has a great health science department and it also has a great athletic training department. Also, it is close to home, but not too close to home.
