2023 - FRESHMAN SEASON: Competed on vault, bars and floor in all 13 of Ball State's meets ... ranked fourth on the team with 370.800 points to help the Cardinals earn a team bid into the first round of the NCAA Norman Regional, a second-place finish at the MAC Championships and a share of the program's first-ever MAC regular season championship ... her effort also helped Ball State register nine of the top 10 team scores in program history over the course of the season ... of her 39 routines her during her freshman campaign, 37 of her scores counted towards Ball State's team total ... her best meet came versus Northern Illinois (Feb. 12) when she scored a career-best 9.925 to win the floor competition, tied her career-best with a 9.800 on vault, and added a 9.800 on bars … scored her first 9.800 on vault at the Tennessee Collegiate Classic (Jan. 20) and added another at the Missouri Quad (March 10) ... registered a career-best 9.825 on bars in each of BSU's final three regular season meets, while following with back-to-back 9.800s at the MAC Championships (March 18) and in the NCAA First Round match-up versus NC State (March 29) ... scored 9.800-or-better in nine of her 13 floor routines.

Saleem on Middleton: Zoe brings a wealth of top-level experience to our program. Having competed at The Nastia Cup and on the Junior Olympic National Team, Zoe has a broad perspective of competitive excellence. She is a powerful gymnast with dynamic, high-level skills. Her beam routine is gorgeous and captivating. While at first, she may come across as soft spoken, she is indeed a driven powerhouse that is dedicated to being successful in the classroom and on the competition floor. Her overall understanding of the sport and her life experiences will certainly be an asset to our program. She is excited to for the opportunity to join a college team and be surrounded by people that support personal growth and team success.

Club Career Highlights: 2020 Level 10 Delaware State Qualifier … competed at the 2019 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships, placing second in the all-around and vault, while placing fifth on floor … placed ninth in the all-around at the 2019 Nastia Liukin Cup … took second on vault, third in the all-around, third on floor, and fourth on beam at the 2019 Level 9 Eastern Championships.
