BEFORE BALL STATE: Al-Awadi transfers to Ball State after two seasons at Western Illinois where he did not see game action … rated a three-star recruit by 247Sports.

HIGH SCHOOL: He played left tackle for Maine East High School, also playing basketball and throwing shot put on the track & field team … he earned all-conference honors as a junior and senior, and was an honorable mention all-state pick as a 2021 senior … he was the league’s offensive lineman of the year as a senior … prior to attending WIU, he received offers from West Virginia, Toledo and Purdue.
