2024 (R-So.): Sustained a leg injury in the opening game of the season against Missouri State, and did not see further action ... received a medical extension from the NCAA.
BEFORE BALL STATE: Firestone transfers to the Cardinals after limited time in five games as a redshirt freshman with Purdue in 2023 … he earned a redshirt season with just one appearance in his college debut against LSU in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl … he joined the Purdue program as a preferred walk-on in the 2022 season.
HIGH SCHOOL: After leading Zionsville High School with 61 catches for 639 yards and 11 TDs as a senior, and twice helping the Eagles to the IHSAA Class 5A state championship game where they twice fell to Cathedral … he was a first-team all-state selection as a senior, and twice earned all-conference recognition in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference … his brother Jack is an outfielder on the Purdue baseball team.
PERSONAL: With his brother playing on the Purdue baseball team ... Firestone is following his footsteps with football ... in hopes of drafting for the NFL ... a hobby of his is being outdoors ... some favorite foods are steak, eggs, and fruit ... a favorite athlete is Cooper Kupp, a current NFL Wide Receiver.
