Returning rush linebacker whose speed helps him get to the quarterback on the outside ... also excels on multiple special teams units ... "He's a slightly undersized rush linebacker who is utilized on third downs because of his quickness. He's also our best special teams player," said head coach Mike Uremovich ... begins his third year with the program after dipping his toes in the transfer portal, and returning, after the 2025 season ... came to Ball State as a highly regarded in-state product from reputable Catholic school program at Bishop Chatard in Indianapolis.
2025 (So.): Appeared in four games as a sophomore and finished the season with seven tackles, all in MAC play ... had a half-sack, two QB hurries and three tackles in the Cardinals' upset win over Ohio in the 2025 MAC opener ... had another QB hurry against Kent State ... spent the early part of the season nurturing a wrist injury ... earned a redshirt.
2024 (Fr.): Played in eight games as a true freshman and registered seven total tackles ... made a big splash on third downs and special teams, ranking third on the team with three sacks overall and blocking a punt at Central Michigan (9/21) ... had two sacks the following week at James Madison (9/28), then added another against Kent State (10/12) ... his blocked punt was the first blocked kick by a Ball State true freshman since Bryant Haines blocked at PAT attempt against Toledo in 2005.
HIGH SCHOOL: Feeney helped Chatard to a 15-0 Class 3A state championship as a senior, making 84 tackles including 17 TFL and 8.5 sacks … he was named to the Indiana Football Coaches Association Top 50 All-State Team … he also forced three fumbles, recovered three fumbles, blocked a pair of kicks and scored two defensive touchdowns while earning “Athlete of the Year” honors on the Indianapolis Star’s All-City football team … he also caught eight passes for 136 yards and a touchdown on offense.
PERSONAL: Enjoys playing chess in his free time … his favorite athlete is Ray Lewis … "Men In Black" is his favorite movie … wants to pursue NFL after college.
