Ball State Sports Link (VIDEO) (Dec. 10, 2024): From the field to the skies, football and aviation bring Luke Dalton and his family closer
2024 (R-So.): Appeared in four games last season including a start against Bowling Green (Nov. 23) at right guard ... sustained a knee injury in that game, however and did not participate in the season finale at Ohio.
BEFORE BALL STATE: A transfer from Cincinnati, Dalton was a redshirt in 2022 and did not see playing time last season as a redshirt freshman … out of Marian Central Catholic High School, he was a consensus three-star prospect who was one of the Top 25 recruits in the state of Illinois ... he drew other offers out of high school from Arizona State, Kansas, Illinois, Iowa and Nebraska.
HIGH SCHOOL: He was ranked the No. 3 offensive lineman in the Chicago area by the Chicago Sun-Times ... he was twice named to the IHSA Class 4A All-State Team and was the East Suburban Catholic Conference/Chicago Catholic League Lineman of the Year as a senior.
PERSONAL: Son of Lisa and Chris ... he is a twin to his sister Emma ... Mom is a grad from Ball State ... a favorite musician is Zach Bryan ... is working to become a 3rd generation pilot ... hopes to begin a career in Aviation or Criminal Justice.
