2023 (Fr.): Saw no action and received a redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Youngstown Ursuline High School where he earned first team all-conference honors his sophomore, junior and senior seasons … also won his team's offensive lineman of the year award his junior and senior year … in his high school career he posted 50 tackles, 5.5 sacks 12 TFLs on defense, without any sacks allowed on offense.

PERSONAL: Son of Gina Melfi … has three siblings: Kaleb, Tyah, and Andre … loves video games and watching sports in his free time … favorite musical artists are Rod Wave and Drake … enjoys the Transformer movie franchise … wants to pursue real estate after college.
