Completed four seasons at Ohio State where he was an invited walk-on in the Summer of 2022 … graduate transfer will have one year of eligibility with the Cardinals … the grandson of Buckeyes legend Archie Griffin, he did not see game action with the powerhouse Buckeyes who won the CFP championship in 2024-25 … entered Ohio State's program after a senior season at Lima High School in which he was named second-team All-Three Rivers Athletic Conference and second-team All-Northwest Ohio … broke up five passes and forced a fumble during his senior season in 2021 … also played lacrosse in high school … grandfather Archie Griffin is a two-time Heisman Trophy winner and his father, Andre, also played running back at Ohio State (1998-01) … Dianté is the seventh member of his family to take part in the Buckeyes' program, including his uncle, Adam, and great uncles, Ray and Duncan Griffin, and grandfather Dave Reynolds, a running back in the mid-1960s.
