Came to Ball State prior to the 2007. Oversees all video and technology needs for the Ball State Football program. Welte and his student staff of six shoot and edit all practices and games and make them available for the coaches' and players review on Webb Electronics' Advantage editing system. Also coordinates all video exchanges for the Cardinal's future opponents. Welte and his staff produce weekly motivational highlight videos for team meetings.
Prior to coming to Ball State, Welte worked as video coordinator for Louisiana Tech of the Western Athletic Conference for the 2006 season. In 2005 Welte was the video coordinator for Arkansas State of the Sun Belt Conference.
