2023 MAC All-Defensive Team

2022-23 (Senior): Earned a spot on the MAC All-Defensive Team after finishing third in the conference with 36 blocked shots … he appeared in and started 32 games for BSU … he was fourth on the squad averaging 12.2 points per game … notched a career-high four blocks twice, one against Georgia Southern (12/21) and one against Chicago State (12/28) … he posted a career-high 25 points at Toledo as the Cardinals won the MAC opener … he finished second on the team with 107 assists, which was 10th in the conference … his 1.81 assist to turnover was the fifth best in the MAC … he paced the team with 42 steals, which was 10th in the conference … he shot 56.9 percent from the field, which was second on the team and fifth in the MAC … he shot 83.3 percent from the free-throw line, which was sixth in the conference and led the team … he was fourth in the MAC with a shooting percentage of 44.4 from 3-point range, which was second on the team … he recorded 23 games in double-digit points … he produced his first double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds at Indiana State on Nov. 12 … he finished his career at BSU averaging 10.3 points per game and tallied 637 points in two seasons … he shot 54.4 percent for his career from the field, 82.7 percent from the free-throw line, and 39.7 percent from 3-point range.

2021-22 (Junior): Appeared in 30 games, including 28 starts … he finished the season with a career-high 247 points and a career-high 104 rebounds … he shot .509 from the field, which was second on the team … went 33.8 percent from 3-point range … averaged 8.2 points per game and 3.5 rebounds per game … he shot 81.5 percent shooting from the free-throw line … his career-high 81 assists was second on the team … he finished third on the team with 21 steals … he blocked a career-high 14 shots, which was third on the squad … he recorded 16 points against Kent State on Jan. 4, which is a career high as a Cardinal … he dished out a personal-best eight assists at Kent State on Feb. 22 … he brought down a career-best eight rebounds with BSU on March 4 at Western Michigan.

Prior to Ball State: A Chicago native, Jacobs played in 68 games and started 29 for SLU, which played in the 2019 NCAA Tournament and 2021 NIT … described as an athletic and versatile playmaker, Jacobs had averages of 5.9 points and 2.1 rebounds with .442 shooting in two seasons at SLU ... he shot 69.0 percent on 2-point attempts in the 2020-21 season and was a 36.7 percent shooter from 3-point range ... as a sophomore in 2019-20, Jacobs was a full-time backcourt starter for a team that went 23-8 … he scored 20 points in a win over Valparaiso and 18 in a win over UMass … in a 2020 Philadelphia road swing against La Salle and Saint Joseph's, Jacobs scored 27 points on 10-for-15 shooting … in his final season with SLU, he played in 20 games and had a couple impactful performances … he had a 13-point, four-rebound effort in a win over LSU and scored 11 points when Saint Louis defeated A-10 champion St. Bonaventure.

High School: He played high school ball at Uplift in Chicago, where he scored 19.3 points per game as a senior … he also attended Hillcrest Prep for a year, averaging 13.3 points on 51 percent shooting and 43 percent 3-point shooting.
