MAC Releases Women's Basketball Conference Schedule

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Mid-American Conference has announced the 2016-17 schedule in addition to Ball State women’s basketball previous release of the non-conference schedule.
The Cardinals open league action on the road at Toledo, Dec. 31 and will end conference action at home against the Rockets, March 4. The 2017 MAC Tournament will begin March 6 at campus sites before moving to Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena, March 8-11.
Ball State will play 18 games (nine home, nine away) over 10 weeks this season during the conference schedule. The Cardinals will play seven teams (five in division, two cross division) twice and four (cross division) teams once. This year's cross-divisional games home-and-home opponents are Akron and Bowling Green.
The 2015-16 season saw Ball State clinch its third bye to Cleveland in four years in the Mid-American Conference Tournament. The Cardinals also earned their fourth straight berth in the postseason Women's National Invitation Tournament where Ball State advanced to the second round for the first time since 2013 by pulling off a 77-72 upset at Big Ten foe Iowa.
The Ball State women’s basketball team opens non-conference acton with back-to-back home games against Arkansas Pine Bluff (Nov. 11) and Evansville (Nov. 16).
