The Ball State cheerleading squad is an integral part of the Gameday Experience at Ball State University.
The group cheers at all home football, men's basketball, women's basketball and volleyball matches. The cheerleaders also make appearances at various other Ball State Athletics events, as well as University and community sponsored outings.
All members of the team must manage their time in a productive manner, making sure they are successful as both an athlete and as a student. Being a part of the Ball State cheerleading squad is highly rewarding and creates unique opportunities for its members.
The squads represent Ball State University at all times and are known to be excellent ambassadors for the University and the Department of Athletics.
Tryout Information
Tryouts for the 2022-23 squads will be held Friday, May 13 (6:00 pm - 9:30 pm) and Saturday, May 14th (10:00 am - 3:30 pm). Those wishing to try out must submit their cheerleading application, cheerleader selection agreement (PDF), medical release form (PDF) and copy of insurance card. They should be submitted electronically to ballstatecheerleading@gmail.com.

| Cheerleading Requirements Preferred Tumbling Skills Females: Standing Tucks, Standing BH Tucks, HH Full (if you have it), RBH Tuck, Layout or Full, Ability to perform toss, twisting and inverted stunting skills as well as Collegiate basket tosses and pyramids.
