Ball State Athletics Hall of Fame Criteria
1. An athlete becomes eligible for nomination to the Hall of Fame 10 years after graduation or withdrawal from the University.
2. An athlete must have earned at least two letters in one sport or one letter in at least two sports.
3. A member of the University staff must have served the University for a minimum of five years.
4. An outstanding career as an athlete or staff member must be complemented by an exemplary career in the individual’s profession or occupation, a record which reflects credit to the person and this university.
5. Election to the Hall of Fame is only by unanimous vote by the Hall of Fame Committee.
6. No more than six inductees, five of whom must be athletes, may be selected in any one year.
7. A team may be considered for induction as one of the five total student-athlete inductees.

NOTE: During the five year period of 1997-2001, at least one female athlete was chosen yearly and the 10 year waiting period was allowed to be waived to insure one female to be elected each year.
