The Ball State Athletics Communications Staff appreciates your interest in the 2008-09 Ball State men’s basketball team. The intent of this guide is to serve as your complete source to this year’s team and history of BSU basketball.
The Ball State Athletics Communications Office is located in the HP Building (HP 120) and is accessible through the concourse level of Worthen Arena. Men’s basketball contact Matt McCollester is generally available in the office on home gamedays until four hours prior to tipoff.
INTERVIEW POLICY
All requests for interviews with Ball State Head Coach Billy Taylor, men’s basketball players and assistant coaches must be arranged through Matt McCollester in the BSU Athletics Communications Office and requested at least 24 hours in advance of the desired interview time.

WEEKLY RELEASES CREDENTIALS Applications for credentials should generally be made at least one week in advance and will be mailed when time permits. Otherwise, credentials will be left at the will call window of the Worthen Arena Ticket Office at Gate One. All requests for press credentials should be mailed or faxed on company letterhead to Matt McCollester and sent to the Athletics Communications Office. WEEKLY PRESS CONFERENCES -- (TO START IN SEASON, PLEASE CALL TO CONFIRM)
Head Coach Billy Taylor will conduct one weekly press conference on Mondays at approximately 1:30 p.m. in the Worthen Arena Media Room. Any requested players will also be available at this time. The Monday press conference will be the only scheduled interview session per week. All other interviews outside of Monday will be done postgame. Other days, times and phone interviews can be arranged as needed.
RADIO INFORMATION
Arrangements for broadcast phone lines or ISDN lines for visiting radio should be made at least three weeks in advance by contacting Chris Taylor.
Credentials for Ball State men’s basketball home games are issued to working media only and should be requested as early as possible. Nonworking media will be seated in reserved seating areas when seats are available. Single game media credentials must be requested no later than 2 p.m. the day before the game (Friday for weekend games).
Parking is available to all those with the proper press credentials. Your parking pass will admit you to the media lot near to Worthen Arena. All those who do not have parking passes will be able to find paid parking lots adjacent to the Arena.
The photo zones are appropriately marked along the baselines of Worthen Arena. No photo spots will be assigned throughout the season. Because of space limitations, it is recommended that photographers arrive early to secure a spot. Photo passes are available for working photographers only and will be issued at the discretion of the Athletics Communications Office.
The BSU Athletics Communications office will host all accredited media. The Worthen Arena media room is located on the concourse between aisles 9 and 10 of the arena. All the necessary statistics will be provided as well as rosters and game notes. Food and beverages will be available prior to the game and at halftime. Phones are available for working press. We must limit media room usage to only those members of the media who present valid credentials. It is impossible to accommodate family members, friends, guests or others.
