2021: Appeared in 12 games along the defensive line ... totaled 27 tackles and two quarterback hurries ... after registering a season-high six tackles at Penn State (Sept. 11), earned a start at Wyoming (Sept. 18) ... had four tackles vs. Army (Oct. 2) ... totaled two tackles and two quarterback hurries at Eastern Michigan (Oct. 16) ... had five tackles, including 1.0 tackle-for-loss, in the bowl game against Georgia State (Dec. 25).

2020: Appeared in all eight games on the defensive line … made 13 total tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss … managed a season-high three tackles in the season opener at Miami and in the MAC Championship Game victory over No. 23 Buffalo … teamed up on his first sack for BSU in the win at Toledo … had a tackle for loss in the MAC West championship-clinching victory over Western Michigan.

PRIOR TO BALL STATE: Spent the 2019 season at Fullerton College under head coach Garrett Campbell … piled up 58 tackles, 11.5 sacks and 18.5 tackles for loss … named the team’s defensive player of the year … served as team captain.

PERSONAL: Son of William and Heather Tarango … sister, Cheyanne, played collegiate softball at Tennessee (2012-15) and went on to play for the Mexican national team.
