Women's Golf Head Coach Cameron Andry Receives Contract Extension

MUNCIE, Ind. - - Fresh off guiding the Ball State women's golf team to its fifth tournament win during his tenure, head coach Cameron Andry has signed a contract extension which will continue his tenure leading the Cardinals according to Director of Athletics Jeff Mitchell.
"I am grateful for Cameron Andry and his numerous contributions to our women's golf program," said Mitchell. "As our women's golf roster improves under his leadership, I am thrilled that Coach Andry has agreed to continue to identify and develop the quality student-athletes that represent Ball State women's golf exceptionally well."
The 2026 Brittany Kelly Classic, which concluded yesterday, exemplified the impact Andry has had on the program, with the Cardinals setting new standards for 18-hole (-7 / 281) and 54-hole (-6 / 858) scoring. Ball State won the event by 28 strokes for one of the largest margins of victory in the tournament's 24-event history.
"I am deeply grateful to President Mearns and Jeff Mitchell for their continued trust and confidence in my leadership of the women's golf program at my alma mater," said Andry. "I take immense pride in the foundation and culture we are building here, which is made possible by the unwavering support of our university leadership, alumni, community, program partners, and our dedicated student-athletes and their families. The trajectory of Ball State women's golf is strong, and I could not be more excited for what lies ahead."
Andry has helped the Cardinals rewrite the program's record book since arriving back on campus for the 2022-23 season. In fact, his squads have established a new team standard for scoring average in each of the past three seasons, including going sub-300 for the first time in program history at 299.24 during the 2025-26 campaign.
His squads have also set the team standards for lowest team round, lowest 36-hole total and lowest 54-hole score numerous times. During the 2024-25 season, Andry helped then-junior Jasmine Driscoll become just the third player in program history to earn both medalist honors at the Mid-American Conference Championship and an individual berth into the NCAA Regionals.
Overall, Andry has also guided the Cardinals to five tournament wins, while helping his student-athletes earn one First Team All-MAC selection, two Second Team All-MAC honors and seven MAC Golfer of the Week recognitions.
Off the course, the Cardinals have excelled academically. Most notably, the squad earned the 2024-25 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-Scholar Team GPA Award for holding the highest cumulative team GPA in the nation. Under Andry, the program's student-athletes have collected 25 WGCA All-American Scholar honors, 15 Academic All-MAC accolades and eight College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District awards.
The women's golf program has also led all Ball State athletic teams in term GPA in five of the last eight semesters and has maintained a team GPA of 3.72 or higher in each semester under Andry's leadership.
