April 27, 2026 | Men's Basketball
The Ball State men's basketball team and head coach Chris Capko have announced the addition of incoming freshman Kamden McGilveary to the program.
A 6-foot guard from Fort Worth, Texas, McGilveary played at Dynamic Prep as a high school senior this past season, winning the Heart and Hustle Award and helping the team win an Overtime Elite League championship.
McGilveary totaled 1,300 points, 489 rebounds, 429 assists, 198 steals and 37 blocks for his high school career. He was named his division's Newcomer of the Year as a freshman at Eastern Hills High School and Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore before being named the Offensive Player of the Year as a junior at Crowley High School.
McGilveary is a three-star recruit and No. 284 in his class nationally according to 247Sports while being the No. 33 combo guard in the class and No. 22 ranked recruit in the state of Texas.
Ball State earlier this month announced the signings of incoming transfers K'Jei Parker (UMass), Aaron Fine (Purdue), and Javion Guy-King (Central Arkansas) to the team.
