Men's Basketball Signs Central Arkansas Transfer Javion Guy-King
April 19, 2026 | Men's Basketball
The Ball State men's basketball team and head coach Chris Capko have announced the addition of Central Arkansas transfer Javion Guy-King to the program.
The 6-foot-6 guard out of Little Rock, Ark., will be a redshirt junior as he joins the team ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Guy-King started in 20 of 32 games played last season for the Bears and averaged 9.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. Central Arkansas won a share of the Atlantic Sun Conference regular season title to earn a No. 1 seed in the ASUN Tournament.
Guy-King shot 42.8 percent (107-250) from the field including 34.1 percent (46-135) on 3-pointers during the 2025-26 season while scoring in double figures in 17 games. The guard produced a season-best 31 points on 13-for-18 shooting (5-for-9 from distance) in a 93-88 win at Austin Peay on Feb. 25.
Starting in 6 of 27 games played as a freshman in 2023-24, Guy-King averaged 7.2 points and 3.2 rebounds in 18.1 minutes per game.
This is Ball State's third incoming transfer of the month after K'Jei Parker (UMass) and Aaron Fine (Purdue) signed with the team earlier.
