Men's Basketball Signs UMass Transfer K'Jei Parker

The Ball State men's basketball team and head coach Chris Capko have announced the addition of UMass transfer K'Jei Parker to the program.
The 6-foot-2 guard from Lakeland, Fla., will be a senior as he joins the team ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Parker averaged 10.7 points, 2.0 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 20.7 minutes per games as a junior for the Minutemen. He started in 6 of 33 games played and shot 44.5 percent (117-263) from the field including 40.8 percent (64-157) on 3-pointers while making 90 percent (54-60) of his free throw attempts.
Parker tallied double figures in points on 18 occasions last season with 20+ points in six of those games. The Florida native set season-bests in points (31) and field goals made (12) on Feb. 7 at Coastal Carolina in the MAC-SBC Challenge.
Beginning his collegiate career at Florida A&M where he averaged 6.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 28 games (25 starts) as a freshman during the 2023-24 season, Parker went on to play his sophomore season at Florida Southwestern State College in 2024-25 where he posted 16.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game and set the school record with 91 3-pointers made.
