Women's Golf Places League-High Seven on WGCA All-American Scholar Team
July 03, 2025 | Women's Golf
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - - Seven members of the Ball State women's golf program were named to the prestigious 2024-25 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team.
Â
Representing the Cardinals for the third straight season were Madelin Boyd, Jasmine Driscoll and Sarah Gallagher.Â
Â
Jenna Estravillo, JJ Gregston and Madelyn Young all earned the honor for the second times in their careers, while Sophie Korthuijs was a recipient in her debut season at Ball State.
Â
The Cardinals have landed at least four golfers on the All-American Scholar Team for seven consecutive seasons. Ball State's seven honorees for the 2024-25 season are the most for a Mid-American Conference program.
Â
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of our players.
Â
To be selected, a student-athlete must:
•           Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
•           Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season.
•           Have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
