Women's Golf Recognized For Holding Nation's Highest GPA

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - - The Ball State University women's golf team has been honored with the prestigious 2024-25 WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award, recognizing the collegiate program with the highest cumulative team GPA in the nation.

With an outstanding average cumulative GPA of 3.968, the Cardinals led all NCAA Division I women's golf programs. The award accounts for the academic performance of all nine student-athletes on Ball State's 2024-25 roster.

"We have some truly remarkable student-athletes who strive for excellence in everything they do every single day," head coach Cameron Andry said. "I'm also grateful to Lara Hillenberg and the team at Student Athlete Support Services for their unwavering support of our amazing scholars."

Every member of the team has achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.704 over their collegiate career, with perfect 4.000 GPAs recorded by senior Payton Bennett, junior Sarah Gallagher, senior Sabrina Langerak and sophomore Madelyn Young.

The WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award is presented annually by the Women's Golf Coaches Association, underscoring academic excellence in women's collegiate golf.
