Rogers Named MAC Field Athlete of the Week

CLEVELAND -- Following her performance in the pentathlon at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational, the Mid-American Conference has announced Jenelle Rogers as the Women's Field Athlete of the Week.
Last weekend, Rogers won her first pentathlon of the season with 4,188 points. She finished first in four of the five events, leading her competition by over 400 points. Her best mark came in the shot put with a throw of 14.52 meters.
Rogers now leads the MAC in the pentathlon and is ranked eighth overall in the NCAA.Â
The Ball State track and field team will compete next in Springfield, Ohio on Saturday (Feb. 8) for the Gem City Invite.
