Middleton Named MAC Gymnast of the Week

CLEVELAND - - For her role in helping guide the Ball State gymnastics program to a dual win at Bowling Green last Sunday, junior Zoe Middleton has been named the Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week.

Middleton turned in her best all-around performance of the season against the Falcons, scoring a 39.200 to help lead the Cardinals to the road #MACtion win. Not only did she capture the all-around title at the meet, but she also won the floor competition with her second score of 9.900 this season.

Now a four-time career MAC Gymnast of the Week, Middleton also tied for second with a season-best score of 9.750 on beam, while placing third overall on both vault (9.800) and bars (9.750). She currently ranks first in the Mid-American Conference and 20th nationally with an average floor score of 9.881 over BSU's five meets.

Middleton and the rest of the Ball State gymnastics team return home Sunday (Feb. 9) to host Central Michigan for both Superhero & Princess Day and Alumni Day in Worthen Arena.
