MUNCIE, Ind. - - For the fourth straight academic year, at least seven student-athletes have been named to Ball State's Top 100 Students list, as announced by the Ball State University Foundation. Eight earned merit on this year's Top 100 List, while in 2022, 2023 and 2024, exactly seven student-athletes were on the list.
Â
In its fourth year, the award recognizes 100 outstanding junior and senior undergraduates at Ball State who represent beneficence both in and out of the classroom. All applications were scored by a group of Ball State alumni from around the country.
Â
Garnering recognition were Cai Afalla (gymnastics), Colin Blazek (football), Emma Horton (women's swimming), Hannah Justice (women's swimming), Sabrina Langerak (women's golf), Michael Mitsynskyy (men's swimming), Jenelle Rogers (track & field) and Grace Sumner (gymnastics). Football and women's basketball play-by-play announcer Dominick Liacone also made the Top 100 list.
Â
Three of Ball State's eight student-athletes on the list – Blazek, Horton and Langerak, plus Liacone -- received Top 50 scores. All Top 100 students are invited to attend an awards ceremony on Saturday, March 22, where the Foundation will announce its Top 25 students for 2025.
