Cardinals Seek History at Home in Uremovich's First Season
November 11, 2025 | Football
MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State football program aims to close its 2025 home schedule in historic fashion Nov. 15 when it hosts Eastern Michigan in the Cardinals' Senior Day and home finale at Scheumann Stadium.
With a win Saturday, Ball State would complete its first unbeaten home season since 2013, when the Cardinals went 6-0 in Muncie and earned a berth in the GoDaddy Bowl. This year's team enters the weekend 4-0 at home and 4-5 overall.
A victory over the Eagles would also give Ball State consecutive wins for the first time this season and its first 5-0 home mark since that 2013 campaign. The Cardinals have finished unbeaten and untied at home 16 times in program history, including seven times since Scheumann Stadium opened in 1967. The most recent perfect home record came in 2020, when Ball State went 3-0 during the pandemic-shortened season.
The Cardinals would also notch their fourth Mid-American Conference victory for the first time since going 4-4 in league play in 2021.
First-year head coach Mike Uremovich has the chance to make history of his own. With a win versus the Eagles, he would become the first Ball State coach to go unbeaten at home in his debut season since Dwight Wallace led the Cardinals to a 5-0 home record, 10-1 overall finish and MAC championship in 1978.
Kickoff between Ball State and Eastern Michigan at Scheumann Stadium is scheduled for Saturday at noon. Tickets to the game are available here. The game will also be aired live on ESPN+ and WLBC 104.1 FM.
