
Six Cardinal Football Players Named to Academic All-District Team

MUNCIE, Ind. – Six Ball State football players have been named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Football Team for NCAA Division I. Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and the NAIA.
Tight end Christian Abney, linebacker Jack Beebe, safety Jordan Coleman, kicker Jackson Courville, offensive lineman Chris Hood and wide receiver Cam Pickett all received Academic All-District distinction. All six Ball State recipients met Academic All-America nomination criteria with a minimum 3.5 overall GPA and either appeared in 90 percent of their team's games last season, or started in 66 percent of the institution's games.

Christian Abney – Tight End, So., 3.77 GPA, Business Administration, Zionsville, Ind.
Jack Beebe – Linebacker, R.-Jr., 3.80 GPA, Business Analytics, Plainfield, Ind.
Jordan Coleman – Safety, R-So., 3.66, Business Analytics, Saint Peters, Mo.
Jackson Courville – Kicker, So., 4.00, Marketing, Dayton, Ohio
Chris Hood – Offensive Line, R-So., 3.57, Hospitality Innovation and Leadership, Kendallville, Ind.
Cam Pickett – Wide Receiver, R-So., 3.61, Computer Information Systems, Chicago, Ill.
