Caldwell Named MAC Offensive Player of the Week

Delaney Caldwell has been named the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
The forward scored game-winning goals in Ball State's 2-1 triumph at Austin Peay last Thursday and in the 7-1 decision over Queens on Sunday. Caldwell added three assists against the Royals for seven total points on the week.
The junior out of Chelsea, Mich., increased her team-leading goals total to five with the pair of scores. Caldwell ranks in the Top 30 in NCAA Division I in goals (No. 29) and points (13, No. 25) so far this season while ranking in a tie for third in the MAC in both categories.
This is Ball State's first weekly recognition of the season and Caldwell's initial MAC Player of the Week honor.
Caldwell and the Cardinals carry a 4-2 record into Thursday's match against IU Indy.
