CLEVELAND - - For her role in helping guide Ball State gymnastics to a 196.400 to 195.150 victory over Eastern Michigan this past Sunday, senior gymnast Suki Pfister has been named the Mid-American Conference Specialist of the Week.
Â
A three-time award winner this season, and a seven-time career honoree, Pfister helped the Cardinals lock up a share of its second straight MAC Regular Season Championship by tying for the win on floor (9.925) and tying for second on vault (9.900).
Â
Her 9.900 on vault was her seventh of 9.900-or-higher on the apparatus this season, while her 9.925 on floor marked her third in that event.
Â
Pfister enters Saturday's 2024 Mid-American Conference Championships ranked first in the league and fifth nationally with a vault national qualifying score (NQS) of 9.935. Her NQS of 9.880 on floor is 12th among all MAC gymnasts.
