CLEVELAND - - For her part in helping guide the Ball State women's golf team to a third-place finish at the BGSU Women's Intercollegiate, junior Sabrina Langerak has been named the Mid-American Conference Women's Golfer of the Week.
Â
Langerak led Ball State in all three rounds on the 6,058-yard, 71-par Blue Course at the Wigwam Resort and Country Club. The effort helped her finish third overall among the 78-player field with a score of 220 (+7), just two strokes back of the tournament co-winners.
Â
Langerak even took the tournament lead early in the third round Wednesday, with back-to-back birdies on holes nine and 10. She went on to finish with the ninth-lowest round of the day at 75 (+4). The effort included three birdies and eagles on the par-4 14th and par-5 18th.
