January 09, 2024 | Women's Basketball
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Ball State junior Ally Becki (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg) has been tabbed the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week. This is the second time this season Becki has earned the honor.
Becki not only shined on offense but also defense in the opening week of MAC action. Becki averaged 17.5 points per game, 6.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 4.0 steals as she helped lead the Cardinals to victories over Western Michigan and Akron.
Becki led Ball State offensively in both contests, scoring 15 against the Broncos before dropping 20 in an OT victory versus the Zips. Becki was especially key at Akron when she scored 7 of the 11 points in overtime for Ball State, which allowed the Cardinals to seal the 71-64 win. Becki was also just shy of double-double at Akron as she tallied nine rebounds. She also added six assists and five steals.
Becki helped Ball State improve to 12-2 on the season and 2-0 in conference play along with extending the Cardinals' win streak to six.
You can catch Becki and the Ball State women's basketball team at home Wednesday in Worthen Arena as the Cardinals are set to host the Buffalo Bulls. Tipoff is set for 6:30 pm ET.
