Parrott Earns MAC Women’s Golfer Of The Week Honors

CLEVELAND - - For her part in leading the Ball State women's golf team to a program record 54-hole score of 875 at the Brittany Kelly Classic, senior Kiah Parrott has been named the Mid-American Conference Women's Golfer of the Week.
Individually, Parrott tied the third-lowest 54-hole scoring mark in program history with a 215 (-1) to help lead the Ball State women's golf team to the tournament championship at the Players Club at Woodland Trails in Yorktown, Indiana.
One of only two players to finish the event in red numbers, Parrott placed second among the 81-golfer, 13-team field which also featured MAC foes Eastern Michigan, Ohio and Western Michigan.
Parrott, who was tied for the tournament lead after the opening day at 143 (-1), started with a 74 (+2) in the opening round, before firing off a 69 (-3) in the second round. The 69 (-3) tied as the lowest round on the opening day and as the sixth lowest round in program history.
She concluded the tournament with an even-par 72 to secure a runner-up finish and help Ball State claim the team title at 875 (+11), 14 strokes better than second place UIC's 889 (+25).
