Gymnastics Places Six on Academic All-MAC Squad

CLEVELAND - - The Ball State gymnastics program placed six student-athletes on the 2023 Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team as announced by the league office Friday (April 21).

Of the Cardinals' six honorees, seniors Grace Evans, Megan Teter and Lauren Volpe each earned the honor for the third time in their careers.

Ball State had two student-athletes earn the honor for the second time in junior Hannah Ruthberg and senior Taylor Waldo.Â

Rounding out the list was first-time selection sophomore Grace Sumner.

A total of 70 student-athletes earned the Academic All-MAC distinction in gymnastics by maintaining at least a 3.2 GPA and participating in at least half of the team's contests for the season. First-year students and transfer students in their first year of residence at their current institution are not eligible for the award.
