INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - - Ball State gymnastics did not have to wait long Monday afternoon to learn its 2023 National Collegiate Women's Gymnastics Championships regional destination, as the program's name was called in the Norman Regional.
Â
The Cardinals, who qualified as a team for just the second time in program history, will take on NC State in the first round Wednesday, March 29, at 3 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. CTÂ inside the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Oklahoma.
Â
Wednesday's first-round winner will advance to face Arkansas, No. 16 Ohio State, and regional host and top-ranked Oklahoma in a quad meet on Thursday, March 30, at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT. The regional final will be held on Saturday, April 1, starting at 6 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. CT.
Â
In addition to qualifying as a team, the Cardinals had individuals selected to all four events and the all-around.
Â
First Team All-MAC selection junior Suki Pfister and Second Team All-MAC honoree junior Victoria Henry earned individual spots on vault. Sophomore Grace Sumner was selected as an event specialist on beam, while senior Megan Teter earned a spot on both bars and floor.
