Pfister Named MAC Co-Specialist Of The Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - - For her strong performance in last Sunday's win over Central Michigan, junior Suki Pfister had been named the Mid-American Conference Co-Specialist of the Week, sharing the award with Kent State's Alyssa Guns.

Pfister continued to shine on vault, tying her career-best and posting a league-leading score of 9.950 to win the event in Sunday's victory over Central Michigan. The effort included a 10.00 from the head judge in the event and tied as the third-best individual score in program history. Pfister currently leads the MAC and is tied for 12th nationally with a vault NQS of 9.900.

In addition, as Ball State's next-to-last competitor on floor, Pfister earned a countable score of 9.750 to remove a 9.725 and help Ball State secure the .025 victory over the Chippewas at 196.100 to 196.075.

Pfister, a four-time career MAC Specialist of the Week, and the rest of the Ball State gymnastics squad return to action Friday with a 6 p.m. league duel at Bowling Green.
