Taylor Waldo Named MAC Specialist of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - - For her electrifying routines in Sunday's come-from-behind victory over Northern Illinois, Ball State senior gymnast Taylor Waldo has been named the Mid-American Conference Specialist of the Week.

Waldo, who earns the honor for the second time in her collegiate career, tied Ball State's individual beam record for the third time this season with a 9.925. In addition, Waldo followed with a season-best score of 9.850 on floor.Â

Overall, her effort helped the Cardinals rally from down .550 points after the first two rotations to defeat the Huskies by a score of 196.050 to 195.950.

Waldo and the rest of the Ball State gymnastics team are back in action Sunday (Feb. 19) at Kent State. The meet is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.Â
