Fraley Earns CSC Academic All-America Second Team Honors

MUNCIE, Ind. - - Ball State soccer junior forward Lexi Fraley joined elite company Wednesday (Dec. 20), when she became just the fourth player in program history to be named an Academic All-American.

For her work both on the pitch and in the classroom, Fraley earned a spot on the prestigious Academic All-America® NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Team as selected by College Sports Communicators.

A predental preparation major with a 4.00 grade point average, Fraley earned Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors after ranking third in the league and 55th nationally with 10 goals this season. A two-time All-MAC First Team honoree, Fraley tied for the league lead with 59 shots and ranked second with 30 shots on goal.

In addition to her 10 goals, the United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region Second Team selection dished out three assists and led Ball State's forwards with 1,427 minutes of play. Her 23 total points were fifth in the league.

The sixth player in program history to score double digit goals in a single season, Fraley is currently tied for sixth in program history with 19 career goals. In addition, her 43 career points (19 goals / 5 assists) are seventh all-time.

Fraley joins midfielder Amy Holst (2006), defender Skylar Chew (2012) and goalkeeper Alyssa Heintschel (2016 & 2017) as the program's Academic All-Americans.
