Gymnastics Unveils 2024 Schedule

MUNCIE, Ind. - - Ball State gymnastics head coach Joanna Saleem has announced the schedule for the upcoming 2024 season which is highlighted by the Cardinals hosting the 2024 Mid-American Conference Gymnastics Championships.

The MAC Championships, which will take place March 23, is one of five opportunities to catch the 2023 NCAA Regional participant Cardinals at home this season. The first comes Dec. 8 when Ball State hosts its annual Red vs. White scrimmage starting at 7 p.m.

During the regular season, the Cardinals host Bowling Green (Jan. 22), Kent State (Feb. 4) and Eastern Michigan (March 17).

Ball State officially opens the 2024 season Jan. 5 when it travels to North Carolina for a quad-meet which also includes Utah State and Rutgers. From there, the Cardinals travel to Ohio State for a Jan. 14 tri-meet with Towson before heading to the Tennessee Collegiate Classic (Jan. 19).

After hosting league rivals BGSU and KSU, the Cardinals travel to Central Michigan (Feb. 9) and Western Michigan (Feb. 17), before stepping out of league action for a pair of contests. The first is a Feb. 23 showdown at George Washington. The second is a March 1 quad-meet at Penn State with Towson and West Virginia.

The Cardinals close out the regular season with a pair of MAC meets, starting March 10 at Northern Illinois and the regular season finale at home versus EMU.

Following the MAC Championships, Ball State will once again have the opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Regionals (April 3-7), which will be split up between four predetermined sites.

The top two teams, along with the top event specialists and all-around performer from a non-qualifying team at each regional, will advance to the 2024 NCAA Championships on April 18-20 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

New for the 2024 season, Ball State will start selling tickets to regular season home meets. More information about ticket pricing and season tickets will be released in the near future.
