Track and Field Announces 2023-24 Indoor and Outdoor Schedules

MUNCIE, Ind. -- The indoor track and field season is approaching quickly for the Ball State Cardinals. Following last year's success, the team is eager to begin the 2023-24 season on Dec. 1 at the Saginaw Valley Holiday Open in Saginaw, Michigan. Â
"We are thrilled to unveil our comprehensive schedule for the 2023-24 indoor and outdoor track and field seasons," said head coach Adrian Wheatley. "This schedule prioritizes providing our student-athletes with ample opportunities to showcase their talent and compete at the highest level. We remain committed to understanding the preferences of our passionate fan base and have strategically selected competitions that allow us to connect with them in person. Get ready to cheer on our Cardinals as they soar to new heights this season!"
The Cardinals are set to compete in seven indoor regular season meets leading up to the MAC Indoor Championships (Feb. 23-24) that will be hosted by Eastern Michigan. After MAC, the team has the opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships that will be held in Boston, Massachusetts on Mar. 8-9. Â
The outdoor schedule opens on Mar. 15 at the University of South Florida's Alumni Invite. There are seven scheduled regular season meets leading up to the MAC Outdoor Championships which will take place on May 9-11 in Northern Illinois. Â
Fans will have the opportunity to support the Cardinals at home for the We Fly Track and Field Challenge taking place on Apr. 12-13. Â
