Kennedy Earns Third MAC West Offensive Player of the Week Nod

CLEVELAND - - For the second straight week, and third time this season, Ball State women's volleyball redshirt freshman outside attacker Aniya Kennedy has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week.
Kennedy led the Ball State offense and ranked second in the MAC with a 5.43 kills-per-set average and connecting for a .245 (38-15-94) hitting percentage.
She started the week by leading all players with 13 kills in Thursday's sweep of the Zips, hitting for a .200 (13-6-35) rate of success. Kennedy turned in an even more impressive performance in Friday's four-set win, smashing a career-high 25 kills and hitting .271 (25-9-59). The effort marked the third time in the last four matches she has tallied a new career high for kills.
Kennedy and the Ball State women's volleyball team return to action Tuesday when they host Toledo for a 6 p.m. first serve.
