Victoria Henry Named MAC Gymnast Of The Week

CLEVELAND - - After registering a career-best all-around performance of 39.175 at last Saturday's quad meet at Rutgers, Ball State junior gymnast Victoria Henry has been named the Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week.

Henry, who earns the honor for the first time in her career, helped guide the Cardinals to a team score of 195.450 at the meet, which is currently the best team score in the MAC this season.

In addition, her 39.175 all-around ties as the 12th-best score in program history and led all league gymnasts this past weekend.

She started her day with BSU's second-best score of the competition on bars, earning a 9.825. In the next rotation, Henry landed a career-best beam score of 9.750 in just her second career appearance in the beam lineup for the Cardinals.

The third rotation saw Henry turn in BSU's second-best floor routine of the meet with a 9.825. She went on to close the meet with a 9.775 on vault.

Henry and the rest of the Ball State gymnastics squad return to action Friday at the Tennessee Collegiate Classic which starts at 7 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. CT at the Farm Bureau Expo Center in Lebanon, Tennessee.
